Use two rebates to install a high performing system that will save you thousands for decades to come
The Australian Government offers a rebate in the form of Small-scale Technology Credits (STCs) to help to reduce the price of solar panels. The amount of credits you receive depends on where you live in Australia and the size of your system. It also takes into account the ‘deeming period’, which is how many years are left until 2030 when the rebate stops completely.
STCs are issued once the installation is completed. However, Cool or Cosy passes on the discount before this to immediately reduce the cost of panels and save our customers the hassle of applying for the credits. Homeowners, community groups, schools and small businesses are all eligible for the rebate.
Don’t delay! Install solar panels now for the highest rebate possible.
The subsidy is available to all South Australians and is calculated on the kilowatt hour (kWh) capacity of the battery. Energy Concession Holders are eligible for a higher subsidy, so low-income households can also access the scheme.
For example, a battery with 5kWh of storage could receive a $2500 subsidy, or $3000 for Energy Concession Holders.
The SA home battery subsidy is capped at $6000 per system, with only 40,000 subsidies available.
